HOLIDAY ATTRACTIONS
FIXTURES FOR TO-DAY
The principal sporting attraction today will be the second day's events of the Auckland Racing Club's Summer Meeting at Ellerslie. The acceptances are good and it is expected that there will be a large attendance. Good form was shown by the Auckland batsmen in the junior representative cricket match against Canterbury at Eden Park on Saturday and the visitors will have to be at. their best to catch up to-day. The match between the Wellington team, which won the Brabin Cup from Auckland last week, and the City and Suburban Association representatives will be concluded at the Domain. The Country Week cricket tournament, which is also being contested at the Domain, will be carried a stage further. Twenty-seven players have qualified for post-section piny in the Auckland Bowling Centre's annual fours tournament after nine roijnds of section games and they will meet at the Carlton green this morning.,
