50 ITALIAN AIRCRAFT GREEK WAR OPERATIONS ENEMY RAID ON HARBOUR By Telegraph—<Press .Association- —'Copyright (Received December 29, 7.15 p.m.) LONDON. Dec. 28 The. Royal Air Force spokesman in Cairo said that 50 Italian aeroplanes have definitely been destroyed since the invasion of Greece, and 16 more were probably destroyed. The Royal Air Force has lost eight bombers and four lighters. British aircraft have carried out 70 raids in the worst flying conditions in Europe. _ A communique from the British air headquarters in Greece states that warehouses, buildings and railway lines at a village south of A alona were bombed by the Royal Air Force on Thursday. All the bombs fell in the target area. Nine enemy fighters were intercepted by the British formation, and a 10 minutes' engagement resulted. From all the operations, all the British aircraft returned safely. Italian aircraft, says a report from Athens, dropped 200 bombs at Prevesa, Greece's nearest port to the Albanian front. No damage was caused and there were no victims, although the harbour was filled with shipping.

YVe bombed the enemy naval base at Prevesa and scored a direct hit on a ship."
