TROTTING AT EPSOM

VICTORY FOR OUR PEGGY FURTHER BETTING INCREASE Favourites again fared badly on the fcercnd day of the Auckland Trotting Club's Summer Meeting at Epsom on Saturday, Buucrana (place only), l.iinu the only one ,o win. Three of the winners, Clay D ot, Elite Rev and Adverand two minor pir.ce-getters, Silver Countess and Kia Kaha, pa'd double figures, Countess an! Some good performances were registered and all the winners went, n good deal faster than handicapped to do. the weather being hot and the track Th> principal event, the Champion Handicap was won for the second year m succession by Our Peggy, "ho wp.s well driven>> M. Smith, and Adversity both won practically from end to end.
