RESCUE FROM DROWNING
[from our own correspondent] RAGLAN, Friday A narrow escape from drowning was experienced by Private Frederick Johnson. aged 19. of Collingwood Street, Hamilton, at Raglan yesterday. White swimming in the harbour he was seized with cramp. There was a strong undertow. Mr. David Mnrychurch, or Matangi, went to his rescue and brought him ashore almost unconscious. The youta made a rapid recovery.
