ADMINISTRATION AND STAFF INAUGURAL MEETING HELD [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION"] "WELLINGTON. Friday The first- meeting of the Joint Advisory Council of the Post Office, the head of a series of advisory committees set up to facilitate consultation between administration and staff on departmental matters, was addressed by the Post-master-General, the Hon P. C. "Webb, to-day. The council consists of 12 member?, six nominated by the Director-General, and six bv the Post and Telegraph Employees' Association and the Officers' Guild. The chairman is Mr. Madden, one of the departmental nominees. "T look forward." said the Minister, "to manv improvements as the result of the deliberations of this council: improvements in service to the public, in working conditions and in the promotion of a feeling of good-fellowship throughout the service. T believe the scheme will lay the foundation of many more councils in other industrial walks of life."
