CITRUS FRUIT LEVY
CONSOLIDATING INDUSTRY Further details of the proposed levy o'n citrus fruit to provide funds for consolidating; the industry were given yesterday by Mr. H. 11. Booth, of Henderson, chairman of the Auckland citrus growers. He said the sums sanctioned by Auckland growers ranged from a. minimum of 5s bv increases of Id a. case to a maximum of £2. An alternative suggestion was a ease on all cases sent in, which would bring in about £oo a year. Mr. Booth added that the services of the committe were being given free and any levy collected would be used to build up a strong and efficient organisation.
