FUNCTIONS AT OTAHUHU
In honour of the ladies who assist in the social activities of tho Otahuhu Ambulance Division, the officers and members of the unit tendered a social evening in the St. Andrew's Hall. A large attendance was welcomed by the divisional superintendent, Mr. T. Ambrose. The honorary .surgeon of the division, Dr. E. R. Lange, was the recipient of a handsome silver tea service to mark the occasion of his recent marriage. Honours and awards won by the members during the year were presented by the Mayoress, Mrs. C. 11. Petrie. A successful evening in aid of the Otahuhu Rest Boom funds was arranged by Mrs. J. Simpson in the parish hall, a substantial sum being realised. "A display of dancing was presented by Mrs. Simpson's pupils and attractive features were the minuet by the tiny tots," jigs and taps. Mrs. Simpson played the accompaniments. A number of dances for the adulls were interspersed in the programme.
