"FOR THOSE IN PERIL"
Sir, —In reference to the inspiring hymn " Eternal Father Strong to Save," the following adaptations to the refrain of each verse might make it more appropriate to modern warfare, thus comforting those who have their brave menfolk in any one particular activity. Verse I.—Remains the same. Verse 2.—0il hear us when we raiso our prayer For those in peril in the air. Verse 3.—Oh hear us when in prayer we stand For those in peril on the land. Verse *1. —Thus ever more shall rise to Thee Glad praises from air, land and sea. May I suggest that the Churches adopt this and that the hymn be sung with the Doxology every Sunday. Prayer in Song.
