RURAL HOUSING SCHEME
[from orn own correspondent] WELLSFORD, Tuesday A meeting of ratepayers was held in the Wellsford Hall to discuss the rural housing scheme and the Rodney County Council's • decision to administer the Act. There were about 56 ratepayers present, Mr. W. Armour presiding. The meeting was addressed by Mr. W. R. Grant, chairman of the Rodney County Council, after which the following resolution was carried: "That this meeting of ratepayers strongly protests against the action taken by the Rodney County Council, and asks the council to withdraw entirely from the rural housing scheme."
