103 RD BIRTHDAY
.MRS. T. G. MARLOW GOOD HEALTH ENJOYED. Still in the enjoyment of a large measure,of health and able to take a keen interest in affairs, -Mrs. T. G. Marlow, of 15 Wilding Avenue, Epsom will celebrate her 103 rd birthday to- 1 da3 T . She was born in London- on November 19, 1837, shortly after Queen Victoria came to the throne, and has spent by far the greater part of her' life in New Zealand. Mrs. Marlow came to New Zealand in 1865. and in the following year was married to the late Mr. T. G. Marlow by the .Rev. Br. I). M. Stewart, of Knox Church,' Dunedin. Mr. 'Marlow was associated with well-known warehouse firms in that city, until in 1881 he came to join the firm of Archibald Clark and Sons, in Auckland. He was afterwards farming at Katikati, and later was for 20 years on the clerical staff of the Waihi Gold Mining Company. He retired to Auckland with Mrs. Marlo\r when lie was well past 80 years of age, and, his death occurred 10 years ago. During the past year Mrs. Marlow has enjoyed excellent health, and quite recently she paid a visit ,to the Parnell rose garden and Iliad afternoon tea out of doors there. She reads the newspapers regularly, and is looking forward to meeting a number of .old friends and relatives socially to-day. There will be a suitable birthday cako to mark the notable occasion.
