FOX WOO D WINS WE LL BLACK MUSK AT GOOD ODDS PANONI DEFEATS SOUTANE BY ABAYDOS Well placed to the turn, Fox wood finished on too well for Miss Ridicule and Town Survey, the leaders into tho .straight, to win the Frankton Handicap going away. The Fox bridge (illy, who is trained at Cambridge by the trotting trainer G. T. Mitchell, was improved for her race on Saturday. Miss Ridicule supplanted Town Survey from the lefid at the distance and luing on well for second. Town Survey had every chance, but weakened. although he succeeded in keeping (he win favourite, Kinvara, out of third money. The place favourite, Evans Head, who was not favoured in the. running, was next, with Lady Pay and Gas Acre following. Third fancy each way, Lady Bloater, who drew No. 1 position, was badly left. Going into the lead after the start, Black Musk won the Mntangi Hurdles from end to end, being six lengths clear of Loomhination :it the finish, with Inncss Lad two and a-half lengths away third. The winner was only fourth fancy on the win machine and returned a fine dividend of close on double figures. Loombination, each-way favourite, was early in second place but had no chance with the winner, although he beat the rest comfortably.
