THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE DEALINGS IN DEBENTURES Trading was active in local body debentures on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday, firm prices being paid for a variety of loans. Government issues attracted widespread inquiry but sellers were scarce. Levels of equity shares wore steady. Bank of New Zcalands, now 011 an ex dividend basis, were a shade firmer, while leading insurances were dealt in at current rates. In industrials the chief change was the strength of Berlei (N.Z.) Support opened much stronger than last week's closing offer and business took place at 67s 6d, a rise of 7s 6d since the last business in June.
