LOW POTATO PRICES
[from our own con respondent] PUKEKOHE, Monday Supplies of new potatoes from Pukekoho growers continue to be plentiful, although heavy rain this afternoon temporarily interfered with the fulfilling of orders. Values have continued the jrapid downward trend and to-day supplies were invoiced outward at 7s per ewt. on rail Pukekohe. This is a drop of 3s since last Monday. Small supplies of cabbage are still available at 7s a Chapman bag. Cauliflowers are bringing about 8s (3d; carrots os a sugar bag; beetroot Ss 6d a banana case
