ILLEGAL PAMPHLETS
DISTRIBUTION IN HAWERAcPOLICE MAKE AN. ARREST [BY TELF.GP.APH PRESS ASSOCIATION'] NEW PLYMOUTH, Sunday' Pamphlets published by the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society which, with Jehovah's Witnesses, was recently declared an illegal organisation, were distributed' at Hawera on Saturday night. A man who was arrested and detained will appear in Court tomorrow. A resident who found a pamphlet when he returned home observed a man enter several properties. He- advised the police, and after a short search the man was accosted and taken to the police station. , A large number of pamphlets and other material associated with the activities of Jehovah's Witnesses was later removed from, a car standing in a "street.
