SCHOOL BOXING
KING'S AND MOUNT ALBERT A high standard of boxing, with some thrilling, hard-hitting bonts, was witnessed at the King's College gymnasium on Saturday night when the annual inter-school contests with Mount Albert Grammar School were staged. There was a largo attendance of boys, parents and friends. King's won 10 bouts and Mount Albert 8. The meeting of the two school champions, Coleman, list, of King's, and Puriri, list lib, of Mount Albert, was a fine climax to the programme. Both lads traded heavy blows in several rallies. Coleman received the decision on points. Comment on the improved standard of boxing was made by the acting headmaster. Mr. H. B. Lusk, who thanked the officials of the Northern Boxing Association for their assistance in providing the equipment and in controlling the contests.
