COURAGE IN BRITAIN
MESSAGE FROM MR. JORDAN A reply has been received by the Onehunga Borough Council from the High Commissioner for the Dominion in Britain, Mr. W. J. Jordan, to greetings sent to him recently as a goodwill message from his old constituency. The reply is as follows: — "Your message of goodwill is heartily appreciated and reciprocated. There has been considerable damage in Britain, many lives have been lost and thousands of homes of innocent people have been destroyed, but their courage and determination continue. "Our Dominion's contribution of men, money and goods has been most welcome and the prompt action of New Zealand has impressed all here. It is a grivilege to be among, the people of ritain as the representative of iSew Zealand and to he with the nurses, soldiers, sailors, airifien and others from our country, which is so wholehearted in its desire to prove itself a worthy part of the Empire and to assist the individual people who are affected. "Mrs. Jordan and I are grateful for your kind references. Kindest greetings."
