EVENING WEDDING

SETON—TIARKS BRIDE'S BOUFFANT GOWN ATTENDANTS WEAR ORGANZA The marriage took place at St. Mark's Church, Remuera, on Saturday evening, of Miss Barbara Tiarks, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Tiarks, Burwood Crescent, Remuera, and Mr. Robert Wilmot Seton, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Seton, of Tirau. Canon R. G. Coats officiated. A beautiful gown of white self-pat-terned organza and Vallenciennes lace was worn by the bride, who was given away by her father. The corsage was fashioned with a heart-shaped neckline and long sleeves, while the very lull bouffant skirt fell gracefully into soft folds. The bride's veil of white tulle was worn with a top-knot of white daisies and she carried a sheaf of similar flowers. In attendance as bridesmaids were Miss Mary Soton, sister of the bridegroom, Miss Mary Holl and Miss Kathleen Will. They made a charming group in picture frocks of self-patterned organza in three shades, respectively ranging from palo pink to deep rose. The frocks were fashioned with short puff sleeves and bouffant skirts. They wore top-knots of daisies to match their frocks and carried sheaves of the same flowers. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. David Seton, as best man. Following the ceremony a reception was hold at the home of the bride's parents. Mrs. Tiarks received her guests wearing a gown of black and white lace and a black hat with a white lace crown. She carried a bouquet of tulips in two shades of mauve. Mrs. Seton, the mother of the bridegroom,

wore a silver grey georgette frock and a grey Baku straw hat. Her bouquet was in petunia tonings. Miss Marjorie Tiarks, the bride's sister, wore a rainbow-hued lame frock and toning turban.

AFTERNOON CEREMONY WILES—RHIND The wedding took place quietly at St. Mark's Church, Remuera, on Saturday afternoon ot Miss Zoe Vernon Rhind, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Rhind, of Otahuhu. and FlyingOfficer* Harold Cuthbert Wiles, Royal New Zealand Air Force, Ohakea, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wiles, Tuhaere Street, Hobson Point, Auckland. Canon P. Houghton officiated. Friends of the bride had decorated the church will bluebells, pale 71111k cherry blossom and freezias. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming frock of powder blue self-patterned sheer with a turban of the same material as her frock. She carried a spray of pasteltoned tulips. Attending the bride was her sister, Miss Avril Rhind, who wore a picture frock of floral sheer in tones of pale lilac and turquoise. She wore a toning cire straw hat and carried a spray of golden brown tulips and freezias. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Second-Lieutenant Geoffrey Wiles, as best man. Following the ceremony relatives of the bride and bridegroom were entertained at the home of the bride's parents. To receive her guests Mrs. Rhind wore a graceful gown of ravenswing blue wool georgette with a matching hat, and a spray of cyclamen. Mrs. Wiles, mother of the bridegroom, wore a grey and black ensemble and a black hat. Mrs. P. R. Mcßae. great-grandmother of the bride, was in a black georgette and lace gown and a black hat. Miss Diana Rhind wore a floral organza frock in autumn tonings and a picture hat of Leghorn straw.
