BEGINNING THE DAY
(Contributed by tho Council of Christian Congregations.) Text.—"What doest thou more than these?" —Jesus. "Love begins where duty ends." Verse. — A little word of kindness, A little cheery smile; To faults a littlo blindness, And then a second mile. Prayer. —O God our Father, grant that this day we may not be content to merely do our duty, but may love compel us to go much farther. May the smile of confidence and kindness on our lips, and the extra little deeds of love, help some to a happier life in Thee. Amen.
