SCHOOL PROPERTY

HAMILTON EAST BLOCK [from oun own* correspondent] HAMILTON, Friday "We consider that the 30-acre block should he put into use as soon as the department is prepared to give a grant for buildings!, which should include a boarding house as well as usual school buildings," stated a committee report presented at to-day's meeting of the Hamilton High School Board of Governors. The committee had been set up to consider the lay-out and planting of the board's Hamilton East property of 44 acres. The committee further recommended that as soon as possible a grant should be applied for for tree planting purposes, and that next winter the Pencil Grove Road boundary should be planted with English trees. When the land was properly drained, concluded the report, and the playing fields were in order, the property would be a magnificent school site, worthy of commodious and handsome buildings. When it was proposed that a copy be sent to the Minister of Education it was suggested that first the possible cost of the various needs should be ascertained, and the report was referred back to the committee accordingly.
