ROTORUA CARNIVAL
[I?Y TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] ROTOR. IT A, Friday Plans to carry on the usual New Year carnival were made by tlio Rotorua Borough Council. Mr. E. T. Johnson said it had been found that without organised fun of some nature thero had been a certain amount of undesirable hooliganism on New Year's Bve in former years. By arranging the decorated car procession for the evening. together with the judging of fancy costumes, tliis would bo restricted to a certain extent. It had been found last summer that it was not desirable to hold two processions, one in the afternoon and another at night, and the year before one procession in tlio afternoon had not filled the hill.
