ESCAPE OF CATTLE [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN COHKKSPONUENT] TEM UK A, Friday
Five trucks were derailed in the Teniuka railway yards during shunting operations. Mr. F. Walker, a shunter, who was riding on a rake of trucks, had a narrow escape from injury. The accident, occurred when a rake of trucks ran down the track and crashed into other trucks which were being shunted across the points. Mr. Walker, who was riding between two trucks, was thrown underneath, but was not injured except for a slight knock 011 a leg. A truck loaded wi,th cattle was thrown on to its side and the cattle escaped. Although five trucks were derailed, little damage was done.
