HOSTESS HOUSE
A meeting of the Combined Service C'lub and Patriotic Committees at Papakura was held yesterday at the Borough Council Chambers for the purpone of electing five new members to .supplement the Hostess House Committee. The Mayor, Mr. S. Evans, presided. The following were elected:— Mrs. A. W. McNeish, Mrs. W. Milne, Mrs. Middleton, Mrs. Firman and Mrs, N. East.
A working bee has been called by the council for to-day to clean up and improve the grounds around the house. The ladies of tlio house committee will provide lunch and afternoon tea. The committee has also undertaken to equip the kitchen and would welcome any donations.
