ORGANISING RIFLEMEN
Concrete proposals for the organisation of riflemen throughout the Dominion as members of the Home Guard have been forwarded to the authorities, according to an announcement made at a meeting of the executive of the Auckland Rifle Association. It was recalled that nt the Empire Games in Sydney in 1038 a team of riflemen from Auckland twice defeated more than 50 teams in shooting matches.
