CARETAKER'S DEATH
A night caretaker at Otahuhu, William Richard Smith, aged 45, a single man, was found dead on the premises where he worked yesterday morning. The room was full of gas, which was fully turned on when deceased was found. He lived alone in a bach and had commenced work at the usual hour on Sunday night. An inquest will be held.
