CLUB ACTIVITIES
St. Andrew's Society.—The monthly social was held in the Fabian Club rooms, Sir. John I. Shields, tho president, being piped into the hall with the usual ceremony. Sir. John Barr, a former president of the society, was welcomed. A number of items was given and old-time and Scottish dancing conoluded the evening. Problem Club. —An address ( on Germany was given by Sirs. H. Dyson at the last meeting. The president, Sirs. A. Carter, presided and items were given by Sirs. Ewart, Sirs. Richmond, Sirs. Leighton and Sliss Wallace. British Israel Women's League.—A meeting of the Auckland branch was presided over by Sirs. Cranston, who gave an address entitled "Great Things Have Small Beginnings." Pen women's Club. —"Psychology for To-day" was the subject of an address by Sir. Brian Knight. A short address was also given by Sir, K. Slelvin. The president, Sirs. H. Griffiths, presided, and pianoforte solos were contributed by Sirs. Farley. Gloucester-Somerset Society. The second annual meeting was held recently. when the following officers were elected:—President, Sir. Frank Broad; vice-president. Sir. H. Marshall; secretary, Sir. E. J. Hatch; treasurer. Sir. Frank Ward; honorary auditor, Sir. J. W. Henley; committee, Sirs. F. Ward, Sirs. SI. Bacon, Sirs. 11. Staceliini. Sirs. F. Wooderson. Sir. SI. Bacon, Sir. R. Everitt, Sir. SI. Hooper and Sir. J. Dowler.
