ROAD ACCIDENTS
Sir, —The Hon. R. Semple has done and is doing fine work in his attempts to minimise road accidents, but I venture to suggest that much more could bo accomplished if that evil thing drink could be abolished altogether. 1 realise the hue and cry that would rend the air, but if the taking of alcoholic liquor is responsible for so many motor accidents, and consequent suffering to offenders and innocents, then it is time drink was denied those people who either cannot control their desire for drink or are too selfish. R. G. Smith.
