PROFESSIONAL BOXING
An excellent bout should be witnessed at the Town Hall on Monday night, when Les. Brander, prominent Australian light-heavy-weight boxer, will meet Alabama Kid, of America, in a contest of 12 three-minute rounds. In both America and Australia Alabama Kid performed consistently well. In Australia he was matched with practically every important fighter in his class, and was beaten on only two occasions. A natural southpaw, ho hits with great speed, and is unusually fast on his feet for a heavy-weight. Brander has como rapidly to the fore in recent months with well-earned victories over leading Australian fighters.
