GOLF INCIDENT

BALL LODGED IN POCKET There was a most unusual happening in a golf match played recently oil the links of the Waimairi club, Christchurch. A player was holding: the pin while waiting for two others, members of his foursome, to play their approach shots. Watching the player in the rough and expecting him to shoot first, he was not aware that the other man, one of his opponents, had played a high shot out of tho bunker until ho felt the ball hit his forearm and drop into the pocket of his woollen pullover. The incident led to a great deal of controversy in golfing circles iu Canterbury. ' .
