CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNEY The Auckland provincial amateur billiards championship for (he Billiards, Limited, Shield was continued last evening at Messrs. Billiards, Limited'*, showrooms, when 11. Rae proved too consistent for G. Lamb. Lamb displayed confidence at the start of the game and made a useful run of 25. Rae. however, gained a 15-point lead at the first 100 mark. Both scored freely during the next stage of the game, and line still held a slight lead at the 'JOO mark. Even scoring followed to the next hundred mark, after which Rae gained- a useful lead, which he maintained. The final scores were:—ll. Rae, 500 (breaks of 22, 25, 20, 21' and 51); G. Lamb. 120 (breaks of 25, 23 and 20). The draw for next week is as follows: Monday, J. Molloy v. J. Robinson; Tuesday, P. Healey v. ,T. Shepherd; Wednesday, C. Spencer v. B. North.
