CAUSES OF ACCIDENTS NECESSITY FOR CARE [BY TELEGRAPH —SPECIAI/ REPORTER] - WELLINGTON, Thursday The ■work of the Arms Bureau is described in detail in the report on the New Zealand Police Force, which has been presented to Parliament. The report says that accidents and fatalities with firearms during the year numbered 49, ; compared with 47 the year before, but there were two fewer deaths. Attention is drawn to the number of accidents due to carrying loaded firearms in motor vehicles, there being six fatal and five nmi-fatal accidents recorded for the year as a result of this practice. Eleven accidents, four of tliem fatal, were traced to leading firearms and ammunition within the reach of children.
