NURSES' MEMORIAL

£2O RAISED AT CARD PARTY A successful bridge party was held at the Nurses' Club, Mountain Road, this week in aid of the Nurses' Memorial Fund. The president of the Auckland branch of the Registered Nurses' Association, Mrs. C. Knight, received the guests and explained that the fund, which sta.rted in the last war, would require increased support to assist the returning army sisters of the present conflict. Supper was served tinder the direction of Miss Buckley, matron of the club, and prizes were won bv Mrs. Adams and Mrs. P. J. North. Miss G. Houchen, treasurer of the fund in Auckland, reported that over £2O was realised from the bridge party.
