SOCIAL AND DANCE
AUCKLAND POLICE CLUB
Cards and dancing provided enjoyable entertainment for those who attended a social held in the Catholic Women's League rooms last night by members of the Auckland Police Social Entertainment Club. Prizes for the card winners were donated by the Blind Institute and those for the novelty waltzes by the police social club. A programme of modorn and old-time dancing was enthusiastically received, the music being, provided by the police orchestra. In the absence through illness of Sergeant William Brown, the orchestra was conducted by Sergeant Bennett. 'The committee comprised:—Sergeant W. J. K. Brown, Sergeant WillisBrown. Constables F. J. Blackburn, Allen Hunt, D. Gilgour, S. Green, W. Street, J. W. Saunders and C. G. Rowe.
