EAST TAMAKI YEAR RISE OF 157 TONS IN OUTPUT Butter manufactured for the 1939-40 season was 2075 tons, being 157 tons' increase on the previous season's manufacture, states the annual report of the East Tamaki Co-operative Dairy Companv, Limited, This recovery was not made until the closing three months of the season. This improvement is now continuing into the opening months of the present season. The average pay-out for the season over all grades, after making the final deferred payment, will be 16.84(1 per lb. butter-fat. " The premium gained on butter graded at 04 points and over was £llBB, 86 per cent of all butter-fat received at the factory being graded finest and tho average gradjng of butter manufactured being 93.56. Advances to suppliers during the season including cream cartage paid bv tho companv totalled £240.569, equalling 15.0367 d per lb. of butterfat. A sum of £28,911 in the appropriation account at May 3», from which a first instalment of deferred pavment of 1.25 d was made this month, leaving a balance of .557 d, from which the final deferred payment will be made. LARGE MAKE OF CHEESE HAURAKI PLAINS COMPANY An increase in cheese production of 71 tons is revealed in the annual report of the Hauraki Plains Co-operative Dairy Companv, Limited. Tho output was 672 tons. Butter, however, dropped 16 tons to 48 tons. . , Cheese suppliers have received 15 7°4d per lb. butter-fat. A further pavment of 2.855 d is proposed, making a total of 18.579 d. Butter suppliers have received 14.129 d, and a further 2.123 d will bring tho total for the season to 16 252 d. Interest on shares at o per cent is equal to .219 d per lb. butterfat.
