POST IN MERCHANT NAVY
[from our own correspondent] APIA, July 4 Advice has been, received that the Hon. I)r. C. M. Dawson, M.L.C., who has received leave of absence from the Legislative Council, has, in spite ot his advanced age, joined the -Merchant Navy as a surgeon in England, and 1S now at sea.
