GISBORNE, Saturday One of the' most valuable building sites in the business area of Gisborne, a property known, as Reynolds Corner, has been acquired by the Temperance and General Assurance Society from Mr. E. G. A. Reynolds. The section comprises a quarter of an acre on the corner of Gladstone Road and Grey Street. The existing wooden buildings, which have been standing for half a century, are a well-known landmark. The purchasers propose to erect ft modern building in the near future to provide accommodation for the staff and premises for letting purposes. '1 lie amount involved in the transaction has not. been disclosed, but is understood to be on a higher basis than any similar transaction in Gisborne.
