WAR GOVERNMENT NEEDED
Sir, —The time appears very much overdue for a combined Government to deal with the affairs of this country; the war in particular. With a Coalition Government men, such as the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, Mr. F. W. Doidge and others, who are not only capable politicians, but also have excellent records as soldiers, would be of great value to the country, in this our hour of trouble. Strange, but none the less true, the war appears to be a si do issue with our Government. The vital things with it appear to be the 40-hour week, social security, radio stations, monuments and by-elections. They do not seem to realise that our very existence is at stake. If the Government fails to make the efforts that are urgently needed then they should at least ask able men to join them in a united war Government. Wa kf, Ur.
