The loan will be officially launched oil May 24, Empire Day. In the coming financial year, the Government proposes to spend at least £70.000,000 for war purposes in Australia itself, 'not allowing for any auxiliaries or any acceleration of tlio present programme or any new commitments. Of this amount, £50,000,000 is being raised by way of additional loans.
