During the first three months of the year, however, 13.63 in. of rain has fallen, against 9.29 in. for the samo period last year. Another unusual feature was that two frosts were experienced, as much as eight degrees being registered at Ruakura. The heavy rain during January and February has resulted in pasture growth being well maintained, and most dairy companies show greater production than last year.
