CLOSING OF THE SEASON -ARRANGEMENTS FOR SATURDAY The official closing of the yachting season in Auckland will take place next Saturday afternoon, when harbour and cruising races will be held under (he control of the Auckland Yacht and Motor-Boat Association. All clubs, with the exception of the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, will take part in combined races. The keel yachts and mullet boats will race to Islington Bay and the 18ft and under classes will/compete over harbour courses. The Squadron keel yachts will race to a different place from the combined clubs and this will not be decided until Saturday morning. All races will start off King s \\hajf. The first event, that for naval service whalers, will start at 1.15 p.m. The Squadron B and C keel yachts will be sent away at 1.30 p.m., the A class keelers at 1.10 p.m. and the combined keel classes at 1.50 P-m-After that the remainder of the classes will be started at intervals of eight minutes, commencing with classes H and I at 1.58 p.m.
