RIFLE SHOOTING
AUCKLAND CITY CLUB LONG RANGE COMPETITION The third round in the final trophy series was completed by the club at the long ranges under ideal conditions, spoons in their respective grades being won by J. AKARANA CHAMPIONSHIP The Akarana Rifle Club concluded its championship shoot for the 1939-10 season on Saturday at the 800.vds and 900 yds ranges. The leading competitors at the conclusion of the shoot wore:—\V. Colquhoun, A. D. Chatfield, R. P. Wakefield. In section B the championship was won by D. Lowe. Silver spoons were won by \V. The juniors competed for a silver cup presented by Mrs. Adams, wife of the president. Colonel 'N. P. Adnrns, while the seniors Competed for a trophy. The cup was won by G.
