HOUSE INCREASES VOTE , ECONOMY MOVE SETBACK ' (Received March 20, 5.35 p.m.) WASHINGTON, March 28 The economy forces have lost control of the House of Representatives, which has passed a 1,021,640,000 dollar labour and social security appropriation bill. The amount is 55,651,000 dollars above President Roosevelt's ■ budget. /Coupled with the Senate's increase in agricultural appropriations, the increase is likely to necessitate either drastic reductions in the impending supply bills, including that for defence, new taxes, or the raising of the debt limit. The tax issue is not likely to be pushed in election year.
