CRIPPLED WOMAN'S PLIGHT A woman lying crippled in a ditch on a Welsh mountain t-op saw in_ the darkness and fog the plow of a cigar* ette. That saved her life. Some miners crossing the mountain had stopped for a smoke. They heard her moan for help. She was half-conscious, and they carried her along the dangerous mountain paths to her home, three miles away. Mrs. Parsons, of Pembroke Terracei Nantymoel, near Bridgend. Glamorgan, had broken her leg by a fall. She crawled to a dit-ch and, as darkness came, began to lose consciousness. "She was half-dead from exposure, one of the rescuers told a Sunday Express representative. , Mrs. Parsons was taken to hospital seriouslv ill.
