TIRAU INTERESTS
The annual flower show organised by the Tirau Presbyterian Church Guild was held in the Tirau Town Hall. The exhibits, which were arranged by tlio joint secretaries, Mrs. P. Aniooro and Mrs. R. Weir, were of a particularly high standard. Mrs. R. Rose, ol Tirau, judged the flowers, and Mr. K. W of Matamata, the fruit and vegetable section.
The Mary Grev memorial rose bowl, which is awarded to the competitor with the most points, was won by MVh, P. Amoore, with <>l points. Several special prizes were donated by Airs. Stewart, sen. Miss Ha'/el Hirst, of Tirau. is in AN '■llitiiliton, where she is representing Auckland in t/110 North Island basketball tournament.
Nurse liurnett, of the Matamata Dentill Clinic, commenced duties at t!i" new Tirau clinic this week, and will be in attendance for three mouths treating children from the Tirau. Okoroire, Tapapa, Piarero and Okoroire Railway schools.
