GRAFTON BRIDGE
Sir, —It is fully time for the City Council to reconsider the regulation of pedestrian traffic across Grafton Bridge. The present method of permitting twoway traffic on the narrow footpaths is extremely dangerous. _lt might do if pedestrians did not habitually disregard the white lines. Walking across the bridge three abreast is common; even two abreast is dangerous. Nobody can pass on the' bridge in these circumstances without stepping off the lootpath and risking serious accident. There is only one sensible rule for pedestrian' traffic on Grafton .Bridge, and that is to have one-way traffic on the footpaths, so that all pedestrians are facing the vehicular traffic. Grafton .
