THEFTS FROM HOUSES
There have been several cases in the last few days of thefts from houses in different parts of the city and suburbs, the latest being the theft of £2 in notes and silver from a bedrooni in a house in Charles Street, Mount Eden, while the occupant was absent yesterday afternoon. The intruder climbed through an open window at the side of the house, searched the rooms, and before he left had a meal in the kitchen. The incident occurred between two and six o'clock.
