STOCKS AND SHARES
THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE RECOVERY IN BROKEN HILL Sharo dealing for the week closed on a brisk note on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday, and the majority of values were firmer. Government loans sold more freely, and the further rise was reflected in the enhanced prices paid. Bank of New Zealands were particularly active on a rising market. Most of the other classified groups were firm. Australian industrials recovered, and a feature was the marked recovery in Broken Hill Proprietary. Dealing in this issuo was most active, the last salo being Is 9d higher than levels on the previous day. New Zealand scrip was strongly held.
