Si COROWA TO REAPPEAR ?t,i L ENTRANT FOR RIVERTON t /' Corowa, a useful performer who has not raced since tho 1037 Grand National r>x' Meeting at Kiccarton, is expected to make a reappearance in flat races at tho Riverton 'f Easier meeting. His last start was over hurdles and since going to Southland he has •~i' done a good amount of schooling, in which f he has shaped quite satisfactorily. Corowa is , bow in his eighth year and ho bears a greatly improved appearance and if the going ' l,: is heavy at Riverton ho may show up. As a four-year-old he won three races and was four times placed, one of his successes being in the Te Aro Hack Handicap at Trentham, when he beat a good field. He also ran second to Ponty in the Kia Ora Hack Handicap. Tho following year Corowa won the High-weight Handicap at Trentham in a good finish with Jewelled Girdle. Corowa, who is by Mint leaf from Red '"" Gleam, ran somo of his best races on yielding tracks.
