Dye, M.L.C., left for the south by the afternoon express, yesterday. ■ Mr. H. Turner and Mr. E. W. Turner travelled to Wellington last night by the limited express. Mr C. W. Boswell and Mr. O. R. Petrie, M.P.'s, left for Wellington 'last l night on the limitod express. Captain W. E. Parry, of H.M.S. Achilles, was a passenger for Wellington on last night's limited express. Mr. T. J. Watts, secretary of the United Fire Brigades' Association, and Mr. C. A. Osborne, treasurer, left yesterday for Wellington to attend the conference of the association. Mr. K. C. Morpeth, of Wellington, has been elected an honorary life member of the New Zealand Dental Association. He has been Wellington representative on the executive council of ■the association for about 20 years, and was president in 1933. Mr W. B. Darlow, chairman of the Auckland Harbour Board, Mr D. Holderness, superintendent, and Messrs. T \ Bishop and E. T. Reid, members of the'board, left for Wellington by the limited express last night to attend a harbour board conference. Mr. K. Gunji, Consul-General for Japan in New Zealand, is to leave Wellington this week to take up 4us new duties as Consul-General at Honolulu. He will be succeeded by Mr. T. Fakuma, who has been Consnl-General for Japan in the Argentine. Until Mr. Fakuma arrives the duties of ConsulGoneral will bo performed by. Mr. Si. Nakafugi, Chancellor to the-Consulate-General. Mr. Gunji will be accompanied by his wife and three children.
