Tho good jumper Full of Scotch staged a return to form when lie registered a surprise win in the Manawaru Hurdles, Full of Scotch was benefited by his race oil the first day. and ran on well after being handily placed throughout. King Musk was quickly in tho load and after jumping the first two fences ho was the pacemaker from Centaurus, General Huso, Haile Boy, Gascyno, Riotous and Full of Scotch, who were in clo«o order. Turning along tho back Haile Boy joined King Musk in front, but lost his position through a bad jump: King Musk continued to make play and lie led into the straight from Full of Scotch, Tutor, Gascyne, Centaurus and General Ruse. Oneo over the luiit fence Full ,of Scotch made an effort and lie won by a neck from Tutor, who finished solidly to beat Kins Musk by a similar margin. Haile Boy was placed fourth, but General Ruso and Celtic Lad appeared to be in front of him, with Riotous also close lip. Full of Scotch pulled up tondcr. Securing a hotter run tliiui oil the first day, tho each-way favourite Orolio scored attractively jn the Farewell Handicap, Foxmoiul anil Olympus gave trouble at the post, lint eventually a ijooil start was made. TrilMarch and Hoynl Bachelor showing out in front from Lexden and Olympus. With two furlongs cwered Silver Que,\ and Olympus •were together in front from Royal Bachelor, Orelio, Trilliarch, Lexden and Foxmond, who wero in close order. Rounding the homo turn Silver Quex, Olympus, Orelio and Foxmond wero abreast, in tho lead from Lexden and Trilliarch. A furlong front tho post Orolio and Foxmond wero fighting hard for supremacy, Orelio drawing away to win by threequarters of a length front Lexden, who finished solidly to defeat Foxmond by a neck. Silver Quex was n good fourth, followed by Olympus, Trilliarch and Hoyal Bachelor. Orelio won well and Loxden ran right up to form, finishing gamely. well after being handy all the Way, tho improving Mysito won the Electric Handicap from the each-way favourite Sir Cameron, who appeared a little nervous w ( hcn his rider attempted to take- him through un opening, and inn on strongly when taken to tho outside. Miss Jose gave trouble at tho post and was left.some lengths behind the field. Marshall Hall and Sure Pay were quickly prominent from Mysito, Lady Vixen and Sir Cameron. Marshall Hall and Sure Pay carried on the running into the straight from Mysito. Sir Cameron, Lady Vixen and Sharniin, Mysito headed the leaders just after passing the distance and went on to win by half a length from Sir Cameron, who finished strongly after changing his course from the inside to the outside. Pirate King carried on the running across the top and he s!:iowod the way into tho straight to Gantos, Harotonga, Royal Appellant and Yogi, with The Cardinal moving up "on the outside. The leaders bunched at the distance, where Yogi had his ears pricked. It looked as if Yogi might win comfortably, but he had to he ridden out to win by a neck from Hoyali Appellant. The Cardinal, who came home well on the outside, was another neck away third and Pirate King was fourth, followed by Lady Montana, Kenu, Gold Vaals and Rarotonga. Gold Vaals was cheoked several times in the running and could make no impression after being badlyplaced at the turn Gamos failed in the last furlong. Te Hajca Unplaced The each-way favourite To Haka missed a place in the Efstow Handicap, which was won narrowly, by the,' second fancy Joan Peel. Te Haka displayed brilliant speed to reach the front after being last to leave the barrier from the outside and it was not surprising In the circumstances that the last furlong found hint wanting, Joan Peel .jumped out cleanly from No. I, followed by Mandalay, Moytnell and Lady Acushla. Before the top was reached Te Jiffikn was in front and lie led into the straight from Mandalay, Morcury Bay (outside), Rajanya. Joan Peel and Moymell. Mandalay headed Te Haka at tho distance, where Jo'un Peel, Moymell. Fairfield and Acreman challenged. Joan Peel was in front less than 1<J() yards frenn tho post and she withstood a determined challenge from Acreman to win by a nose. Mandalay was three-quarters of a length away ttlird. and Moymell was fourth. Fairfield was almost in line fifth, succeeded by Kingcraft, Te Haka and Mercury Bay. A Thrilling Finish The Wairakau Hack Handicap provided a thrilling finish, the three-year-old Hunto winning at double figures from Wildore and Loch Acre. Manciroo was cut off at the start, Right Royal and Pasture being smartest to begin. Right Royal made play along the back from Pasture, Hunter's Night, Star Vaal, H'unto, who lost hi" position a little further on. and Kenneth Robert. Right Hoyal led into the straight just clear of Hunter's Night, with British Nation, Star Vaal, Pasture and Loch Acre handy and Hunto next. The field bunched at the distance, where Hunto came through and held on to win by a neck from Wildore. who defeated Loch Acre by another neck. Hunter's Night, who weakened in the last half-furlong, was a close fourth, succeeded by Pasture, Maneroo, Right Royal and Star Vaal, Hunto registered it solid performance after receiving a check and losing his position. Wildore and Loch Acre both finished well, the latter having to cover a fair amount of ground after beginning from the outside. The consistent White Rajah, a good second fancy, was responsible for a solid performance in defeating the each-way favourite Raepata in the MorrinsviUe Hack Handicap. White Rajah and Veritable began smartly and when the field had settled down tho.v were the leaders from Selwyn, Pleuron and Raepata,. with an interval o»' several lengths to Foxtoon and Kaspjun. The leading positions were maintained across the top and White Rajah led into the straight from Veritable, Raepata, Selwyn, Ennation and Pleuron (rails). Once into the straight Veritable began to weaken and Raepata challenged strongly. White Rajah still led at the distance and he ran on well to win by half a length from Ranpata, who defeated Selwyn by a neck. Pleuron was a close fourth, followed b.v Erination, Phileniup, [Caspian and Foxtoon. The form of White Rajah and Raepata wns very consistent. Selwyn was always handy and battled on solidly. Pleuron made a very creditable showing, after becoming awkwardly placed in the middle stages, . It was with a brilliant finishing run on the outside, that the each-way favourite Foxsen won the Piako Handicap from the littlefancied Silver Stick, who failed only in the last couple of strides. A good start was made arid Kathbella was first out from The Dozer, Silver Eagle and Fill! Hand. The Dozer soon ran to the front and he led along the back from Full Hand. .Silver Eagle Silver Stick. Kathbella nnd Prince Rangi. Full Hand and Silver Stick were the leaders Into the straight from The Dozer, Silver Eagle. Brazilian and Jack Tar, with the field hunching. A furlong from the post- Silver Stick was just in front, hut lie went under by half a head to Foxsett, who finished very fast on the outside. Silver Eagle fought on well to he a necV, away third and Full ITand was fourth. Then followed Ora King, who looked likely at the distance, Mon .Acre. Brazilian and Jack Tar, Foxsen was jn tho rear in the middle stages and thoroughly deserved her huccbhs.

RIDER INDISPOSED Owiner to a slight indisposition, the jockey C G. Goulshro was unable to fulfil engagements 011 the second day of the Te Aroha Jockey Club's Jubilee Meeting yesterday. Ono of his mounts was to have been Joan Peel, winner of the Flstow Handicap, upon whom the successful apprentice W. J. Mudford was substituted. Mudford also won the Electric Handicap on Mysito.
