YOUNG FARMERS' CLUBS
LINCOLN SCHOLARSHIPS [by tklec It a ph—own correspondent] CHRISTCHURCH. Friday Three scholarships, entitling members of young farmers' clubs to ayear's training at Canterbury Agricultural College, Lincoln, have been announced by the selection committee of the New Zealand Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs. They are as follows: —Lincoln College Old Students' Association award, John Alexander Porteous, aged 20, of Dunedin; Southland Frozen Meat Company's two awards, 'Kenneth J. W. Hargest, aged 19, of and David Etherington Watts, aged 19, of Otahuti. Mr. Porteous is a son of Dr. W. JV Porteous, of Dunedin, and is a member of the Enfield Young Farmers' Club. He was educated at John McGlashan College and the Waitaki Boys' High School. Mr. Hargest is a son of Mr. James Hargest, M.P., and was educated at Southland Boys' Hifih School.
